Vilnius Academy of Arts
Vilnius Academy of Arts is a State University of the Republic of Lithuania, which offers study programs of in all three study cycles in of the areas of art, design, architecture, and art theory and history. The Academy consists of four campuses, situated in the cities of Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda and Telsiai, with a total of over 1500 students.
The Academy is a unique institution of higher education in Lithuania, which traces its academic tradition back to 1793, was the year the Department of Architecture was established at the University of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In 1797 the Department of Painting and Drawing were established, followed by the Department of Graphics (Engraving) in 1803 and, in 1805, the Department of Sculpture and History of Art. Later, the art departments were consolidated into the Department of Literature and Liberal Arts.

Admission procedure
- Submit application documents
- The copy of Master diploma and diploma supplement in the original language, with the certified translation to English or Lithuanian
- Letters of recommendation of two recognized scientists
- CV and description of scientific activity
- Scientific research project (in English or Lithuanian languages about 40000 characters).
Dissertation project should be related to scientific researches carried out in Academy of Arts; The project must be assigned to the main research field
- List and copies of scientific publications
- Copy of ID or passport
- Receipt of admission fee

For students at Vilnius faculty
Students of the Vilnius Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts living outside Vilnius are given the opportunity to stay in a dormitory located at Latako str. 2.
