The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences is the largest university-type school in Lithuania preparing health specialists. It unites the Veterinary Academy and the Medical Academy. The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences is the largest institution of higher education for biomedical sciences in Lithuania, successfully integrating studies, research, and clinical practice. LSMU consists of two main academies: Medical Academy and Veterinary Academy. Students of medicine, odontology, and nursing gain their practical skills at the LSMU Hospital Kauno Klinikos, which is the largest medical institution in the Baltic States. More than 2,200 physicians and residents’ shoulder to shoulder with 2,400 members of the nursing staff take care of over 90,000 patients at the LSMU Hospital each year.

Pre-Med course
Pre-Medical (Pre-Med) course aims to prepare applicants for undergraduate Medicine, Odontology, Veterinary Medicine or Pharmacy programs by offering students general Biology and general Chemistry classes and seminars.

Entrance requirements:
- Legalized high school or college certificate and transcript (officially translated into English)
- Good knowledge of the English language is obligatory
- Good grades in Biology and Chemistry would be an advantage

- Matriculation / School Leaving Certificate confirmed by the governmental authorities (see below “Legalization of Educational Documents”)
- Transcripts of high school/ senior secondary school courses verifying successful completion of General Biology and General Chemistry
- Certificate proving the knowledge of English language: TOEFL – minimum 65 points (iBT); IELTS – above 5.5 points; the certificate confirming the knowledge of a foreign language at minimum B2 level (CEFR) or similar.

Admission Procedure
International students could be admitted into the English program of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences if they provide the legalized high school or college certificate and transcript (officially translated into English) and meet the Entrance Exam requirements. Good grades in biology, chemistry and physics will give preference. Good knowledge of the English language is obligatory.

Application for the integrated and bachelor’s degree study programs:
- Matriculation / School Leaving Certificate approved by the governmental authorities
Application for master’s degree study programs:
1-A. Bachelor’s Degree Diploma (university’s level) approved by the governmental authorities. Study program shall be related to the one you apply for Master’s Degree.
Application for the integrated and bachelor’s degree study programs:
- Transcripts of high school/ senior secondary school courses verifying successful completion of General Biology and General Chemistry. For Health Psychology study program – Mathematics and General Biology;
Application for master’s degree study programs:
2-A. Transcript of Academic Records provided directly from the origin university;
- Certificate proving the knowledge of English language: TOEFL – minimum 65 points (iBT); IELTS – above 5.5 points; the certificate confirming the knowledge of a foreign language at minimum B2 level (CEFR) or similar. If students are not able to present any certificate proving the knowledge of the English language, he/she will have to take an English language test prepared by the University. The English language test will be given on the same day as the test in Biology/Chemistry.

Accommodation
The first-year students may apply for accommodation in the LSMU hostel. A Housing Contract should be signed.
