Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Iran

On 4 November 1993, Iran recognized Lithuania de jure.


On 4 November 1993, Iran recognized the re-established independent State of Lithuania de jure. Diplomatic relations were re-established on the same day.


From 2005 to 2006, Vytautas Naudužas served as the first Ambassador of Lithuania to Iran after the re-establishment of independence (resided in Turkey).


From 1994 to 1995, Reaz Astaneh Parast served as the first Ambassador of Iran to Lithuania (resided in Poland)
