Vilniaus kolegija /University of Applied Sciences is open to novelties. It is a flexible and continually changing higher educational institution that is harmoniously combining labour market needs with the development of promising areas of science and art.

The mission of Vilniaus kolegija / University of Applied Sciences:
To prepare practice – oriented specialists with Vilniaus kolegija /University of Applied Sciences degree of higher education in biomedicine and natural, humanitarian, social and technological sciences and arts, who meet economic and social needs of Vilnius region and the entire Lithuania.
To ensure that the study process would be modern and in compliance with European standards as well as develop an effective cooperation with representatives from the business world.

v Admission Requirements
1. A SECONDARY EDUCATION OR A CORRESPONDING QUALIFICATION
All foreign applicants shall present the proofs of their academic qualifications being recognized in Lithuania. The upper secondary or/and higher education qualification documents have to be evaluated by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC).
2. PROFICIENCY OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR – B1 level
International English Language Testing System IELTS – overall score 5
Test of English as a Foreign Language TOELF – overall score 45
Note. IELTS or TEOLF test score is valid 2 years only and older tests are not accepted.
v How to apply
NOTE Vilniaus kolegija / Vilnius University of Applied Sciences has intake only once a year for autumn semester.
Key dates for 2020 intake:
– application period opens: 1 January 2020
– application deadline: 30 June 2020
– Summer: visas, residence permits, adaptation
– beginning of Autumn semester studies: 1 September 2020
STEP 1 – Submission of the required documents
List of required documents:
Application Form;
copy of passport;
proof of the education received (graduation certificate or diploma) and its supplements. The documents should be legalized and ratified by the certificate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
document issued by the Centre of the Quality Assessment in Higher Education confirming the academic qualification obtained in a foreign country
document indicating knowledge level of English language
extract of a bank account or any other document, ratified by a notary proving that the Applicant or the parents, foster-parents or guardians of the Applicant will be able to fully support the Applicant during the time of studies in University;
bank confirmation of paid non-refundable application fee of 100 Euros.
STEP 2 – Application Fee
The application fee is 100 EUR per applicant. Your application will be considered only after the non-refundable application fee has been received by Vilnius kolegija / University of Applied Sciences.
STEP 3 – Evaluation and results
Once the first 2 steps have been fulfilled, a preliminary evaluation and further guidance will be provided individually to your e-mail address within 5 working days.
Upon receipt of all required documents and arrival of the application fee the admission results will be announced individually to your e-mail address within 10 working days.
Upon receipt of the tuition fee the final acceptance letter will be issued individually to your e-mail address.
v Accomodation
Vilniaus kolegija/University of Applied Sciences (Vilnius College) offers housing for international students coming under Erasmus programme and for full time studies in the Students’ Hostel which is situated close to the city centre.
The hostel is a comparatively old but newly renovated building. It has double – furnished rooms, and bed-clothes are provided. There is a possibility to live alone in the room or share it with another student.
There is a common kitchen, shower shared between several rooms. The Internet connection is available.
Prices
Single Room: 150 EU /month (a limited number of rooms)
Double room: 125 EU /month (For 1 person)
If you prefer to stay alone in double room: 230 EU/month
Deposit – 300 EU. To be paid on arrival day at the dormitory.
Payments
The month rent and the deposit if applicable must be paid during the first week of your stay after signing your Accommodation Contract. Regular monthly payment must be paid not later than on the 15th of the current month (e.g. till 15th of September for the month of September etc.). Details about signing contract and payments will be provided by the hostel administration after your arrival.
