1.       Introduction 

Since starting its activities in 1999, ISM University of Management and Economics had one aim from the very beginning – to offer innovative, qualitative studies and training of management and economics for creative, ambitious young persons and already experienced business managers. Customer Recognition (students, businesses and alumni), International Recognition and Sustainability. Quality and internationality have become the most important priorities of the University’s activities. This aim has been evaluated by International Quality Accreditation (IQA) awarded to ISM in 2006 by the Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN), thus certifying that ISM belongs to universities that offer the most advanced business studies in the region.

The Palanga Amber Museum was established on August 3, 1963. It is housed on the estate of Count Feliksas Tiskevicius (1865-1932). The estate, designed by German architect Franc Schwechten (1841-1924), was built in 1897. The PalangaBotanical Gardens, designed by the landscape architect Eduard Francois Andre (1840-1911), surround the Estate. The estate palace in neo renaissance style is an inseparable part of the park's ensemble. A. Brusokas restored the palace in 1957. The Count Tiskevicius family resided in the palace until 1941.

1.      Introduction

 

Situated in the halls of the Island Castle, which the rulers of Lithuania frequented during their glory days, the most visited museum in the country tells the story of the town and castles of Trakai. Authentic items that have seen the great history and notable individuals are on display, including hunting trophies, furniture, porcelain and glassware. Every year, the castle hosts the Medieval Festival and Craft Day, when visitors are invited to go back to the golden age of Trakai.

1-      Introduction

This is the largest repository of Lithuanian cultural heritage and the oldest museum in the country, featuring exhibitions filled with authentic exhibits that reflect the history of Lithuania and present traditional Lithuanian culture and customs. The museum experience is complemented by various educational programmes and creative workshops which get participants involved in live exploration of the exhibits.
